Continuing with more recipes of simple dishes that can be prepared with Serrano Ham, I will start today with some recipes of this product combined with fruits.
It is possible that among the combinations of Ham with fruit, one of the best known and usually consumed is Melon with Ham.
The recipe can not be simpler as well as its preparation, if it is possible to call it that, since it simply consists of cutting some slices of melon, ripe but not excessively soft and slices of ham and serving them together.
The combination of flavor and freshness of one and another product achieve a very good result.
A variant of this recipe is the preparation of Fruit Skewers and Serrano Ham, which in this case we would prepare with pineapple, melon and Ham.
For the preparation, the pineapple and the melon are cut, once peeled, into pieces of about 3-4 cm and medium slices of ham, a piece of melon, the rolled ham slice and finally a piece of pineapple are skewered. You can also prepare larger skewers by skewering more than one piece of each product.

The other variant, but possible only two months a year, in April and May, is to use fresh asparagus previously cooked and if possible from the same origin, Navarra. The truth is that this second possibility, provides a different flavor and special nuances and better, although you have to know how to peel and cook asparagus properly.
Continuing with very simple recipes I will now include the Serrano Ham Tortilla, another very common recipe in Spanish homes and restaurants.
This is also a recipe available to anyone, even if it is not an expert, much less. To prepare it, slice a slice of Serrano Ham into small pieces and set aside. Two eggs are then beaten on a plate and a pinch of salt is added, not much because the Serrano Ham will provide part of the salting. The Ham is added to the beaten egg, mixed and placed all in a pan with a few drops of extra virgin olive oil. The tortilla is finished making and it is ready.
