Types of shipments

You can choose between road transport or opt for 24-hour express air transport.

Road transport is free for orders over 89.99 EUR. (79,99€ depending on the country) Regardless of how much your order weighs, whether it is 5 kg or 50 kg.

NOW you can also decide if you prefer 24-HOUR EXPRESS AIR TRANSPORT. For this service we apply a small supplement depending on the actual weight of your order.

In addition, you can choose whether you want it delivered to your home or to a collection point (the collection point option is only available for shipments under 20 kg).

If your order does not reach €89.99 (€79.99 depending on the country), the shipping costs depend on the weight and the destination country of your order.

Both the shipping costs that we apply to you for orders less than the minimum quantity and the air shipping supplements, are calculated according to the weight of your order. In no case are you going to overpay.

Delivery Times

Orders with standard road transport will leave our facility within 2-5 business days*.

Orders with 24-hour air freight will leave our facilities within 24 – 48 hours (as long as it is a working day*) and will be delivered within 24 hours (48 hours if it is a remote/inaccessible area such as some islands or areas very far from urban centers) at destination.

Once your order has been shipped, you receive an email from UPS, the shipping company, with the tracking number and estimated delivery date of your order.

Domestic deliveries

We ship to the entire Peninsula, Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla. Delivery times are 48 - 72 hours.

Delivery Address

The shipment is delivered to the address indicated when the purchase is completed. To ensure correct delivery, we recommend detailing the delivery address as best as possible. In case of absence, the transport company will leave the package at a collection point near the home.

If you have chosen delivery to a pick-up point, our team will make sure to choose the point closest to the delivery address indicated. If you prefer a specific point, you can indicate this in remarks at the time of finalizing the order. We will take your preference into account.

Returns

In the event that you are not satisfied with your purchase, you have the possibility of returning, always within the legal deadlines set by the Spanish legislature.

Shipping to the UK, Switzerland and Norway

Shipping to United Kingdom: Northern Ireland

You get free shipping to Northern Ireland for orders over €89.99. Although Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom, the new customs legislation that came about after Brexit does not apply to this territory. For this reason, free trade continues to exist in Northern Ireland as does the rest of the countries of the European Union. Plus, you'll benefit from VAT-free pricing, just like in the rest of the UK.

Since Brexit, shipments to the United Kingdom have some particularities compared to the rest of the countries. With Gastronomic Spain you can continue to enjoy your favourite Spanish products in the UK, quickly and easily. We take care of the customs formalities for you and do not charge you anything for it. Plus, you get free shipping to the UK for orders over 89.99 EUR.

We handle all customs formalities for you. We prepare and request all the necessary documentation so that your order reaches you quickly and easily. Therefore, the preparation times for a shipment to the United Kingdom are 2 – 4 working days since, depending on the products, we have to apply for the relevant permits.

You can choose whether you want us to ship your order for free (orders over 89.99 EUR) by road or for a small supplement by plane (24 – 48 hours). Road shipping times are 5 – 7 days. Shipping times by air are 24 – 48 hours.

In addition, you can choose whether you want to receive your order at home or if we leave it at a collection point near your home.

Alcoholic beverages with an alcohol content higher than 21º (liqueurs, pomace, whiskey, brandy, gin, rum) cannot be shipped as the United Kingdom does not allow their import as a private individual.

Possible import taxes that may be generated by the importation of the purchased products must be borne by the recipient. Food products should not incur an additional import tax, if they do, please contact our customer service team for guidance on how to proceed. Alcoholic beverages and household goods (paellas, knives, ham holders, etc.) can generate an import tax which the recipient has to assume.

Import taxes

Possible import taxes that may be generated by the importation of the purchased products must be borne by the recipient. Depending on the product, an import tax may be applied, there are products that are exempt from import taxes, but others carry. Most of our products are duty-free. Others such as meat products (ham, sausage, etc.), oil or alcohol do have. You can buy up to 1 kg of meat products without paying import taxes.

Value added tax – VAT

When buying from Switzerland you do not pay VAT (4% and 10% for food, 21% for alcoholic beverages) when buying at Gastronomic Spain. But, as soon as you receive your order in Switzerland, you have to pay the corresponding Swiss VAT (2.5% and 8.1% for food) on your order.

Both VAT and possible import taxes will be paid when you receive your order in Switzerland. The transport company, in this case UPS, is responsible for collecting these additional expenses for the Swiss state. So you will receive an invoice from UPS in the event that any of these taxes apply to your order.

Import Duties

Any potential import duties that may be incurred from importing purchased products must be covered by the recipient. Depending on the product, import duties may apply. Some products are exempt, while others are not. Most of our products are duty-free, but certain items like meat products (ham, sausages, etc.), olive oil, or alcohol may be subject to import duties.

Value Added Tax – VAT

When ordering from Norway, you do not pay Spanish VAT (4% and 10% for food, 21% for alcoholic beverages) when purchasing from Gastronomic Spain. However, once you receive your order in Norway, you must pay the applicable Norwegian VAT (15% and 25% for food and beverages) on your order.

Both VAT and any potential import duties are paid upon receiving your order in Norway. The transport company, in this case UPS, is responsible for collecting these additional charges on behalf of the Norwegian government. Therefore, you will receive an invoice from UPS if any of these charges apply to your order.

Rates

All shipping rates do NOT include VAT. VAT is applied to the destination country.
