Characteristics of Sliced Organic Acorn-fed Iberian Pork Loin
The Iberian acorn-fed pork loin comes in an 80gr format, peeled and machine-cut into thin sliced and vacuum-packed. It is a product made by the company Extrem Ibérico, which has been producing high quality Iberian pork product for generation. It is located in Extremadura and all its products are certified by the Denomination of Origin Dehesa of Extremadura.
The Iberian pork loin that we present to you has organic certification, which guarantees that the pork has been fed throughout its life without pesticides or chemical products.
The loin has a reddish-brown colour, shows marbling and infiltrations of fat in the lean meat. It is a thin slice, no more than 1mm thick, which is peeled and perfect for consumption. It is cured for at least 2 months, a somewhat shorter curing period than usual, since, unlike the sirloin, this loin is a much smaller piece, weighing no more than 500gr.
In the mouth it has a consistent texture, with an aroma in which we can appreciate the curation of the product, and a flavour with hints of paprika, olive oil and even a slight garlic flavour.
