Oxtail is a stew of Andalusian origin, which because of its flavour and acceptance has become popular all over Spain. It is a stew that is slowly cooked and contains chopped bull’s tail and different vegetables. We advise purchasing stewed oxtail if you enjoy eating traditional Spanish recipes but don’t often get the chance to prepare them yourself.

Bull’s tail stew characteristics:

We offer you a 800-gram can of stewed oxtail, prepared according to a classical recipe. It is produced by the family-owned business Polgri, which for many years has been making ready-to-eat meals using game meats and traditional recipes.

With the bone included, the oxtail stew is chopped. Slowly over a low heat, it has been prepared by incorporating the onion, potato, carrot, peas, and beans, as well as creating a sauce from the oxtail’s own juices that have been reduced with white wine and sherry.

The oxtail pieces are visually distinguished in the thick, uniform, light red-brown sauce (which has a rich taste in the mouth, where the flavour of the used wines to reduce it, the tomato, and the strength of the bull meat stand out). It has been cooked so long that the juicy and flavourful meat easily detaches from the vertebrae and melts in your mouth.

Ingredients of stewed oxtail.

Oxtail (40%), water, sunflower oil, white wine and sherry, onion, garlic, potato, carrot, peas, green bean, bay leaf, xanthan gum, salt, tomato, paprika and spices.
